Federal Minister for Information Technology Dr Khalid Maqbool Siddiqi on Tuesday formally inaugurated by cutting the ribbon of a 3-day Health and Pharma Asia International Exhibition & Conferences 2019, at the Karachi Expo Centre. Turkish Consul General in Karachi, Tolga Uçak and Consul General of Iran, Ahmad Mohammad attended the inauguration as the chief guests.

Dr Khalid Mqabool Siddiqi while talking to the media highly appreciated the holding the health and pharma exhibition. He said most modern medical equipment have been put on display by dozens of the leading companies from health and pharmaceutical sector representing different countries including United States, Iran and China. Dr Khalid also lauded the role of Ecommerce Gateway president Dr Khursheed Nizam for organizing the exhibition on such important field.

The 3-day exhibition, organised from by Ecommerce Gateway Pakistan, is expecting the participation of around 800 companies from over 27 countries including China, Turkey, Iran, Canada, Singapore, Saudi Arabia, US, Britain and Germany. During the exhibition, the workshops on diabetes and basic life support: adult, child and infant and CME seminars on cardiology, anaesthesia, and midwives' role are scheduled for the first day i.e. Sep 24.

Seminars on Cardiac Surgery, Infection Prevention & Control, Neurology and Maternal Health will be held on September 25. Orientation Session on the United States Medical Licensing Examination (USMLE Step 2 CS) and seminars on paediatrics, infertility, radiology and safe blood transfusion will be held on Sep 26.

The health, pharmaceutical and research companies will showcase their latest products at different stalls in the six halls of the Expo Centre Karachi. As many as 40,000 visitors are expected to attend the exhibition and over 15 seminars to listen the prominent national and international scholars.

The experts will share their experiences and expertise in research, development and innovations on physical and dental health, homeopathic, Ayurved, natural and organic medicine, laboratory technology, diagnostics, surgery, transplants, physiotherapy, patients' referrals and diets, in their respective fields.

The event provides opportunities of learning, information sharing and cooperation to pharmaceutical and healthcare manufacturers, practitioners, medical equipment providers, medical institutions and universities, hospitals, clinics, laboratories and allied industries.
