On Friday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index closed at 4,248. The traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at PKR 5.552 billion and the numbers of lots traded were 7,243.

Major business was contributed by Gold amounting to PKR 2.391 billion, followed by Currencies through COTS PKR 1.285 billion, WTI Crude Oil PKR 782.294 billion, NSDQ100 PKR 440.667 million, Silver PKR 215.749 million, Platinum PKR 202.046 million, DJ PKR 84.402 million, Palladium PKR 50.897 million, Natural Gas PKR 50.335 million, SP500 PKR 33.749 million, Copper PKR 8.563 million and Brent Crude Oil PKR 7.469 million. In agriculture 3 lot of Cotton amounting at PKR 1.417 million was traded.
