The United Business Group (UBG) on Friday announced the candidates for the forthcoming annual election of Federation of Pakistan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) 2020 by fielding Dr Nauman Idrees Butt for presidential seat and Hanif Gohar for Senior Vice President .

The unanimous decision in this regard was taken at a special meeting of the UBG's core committee held here Friday with central chairman Iftikhar Ali Malik in chair. Prominent among them were S M Munir, Ilyas Bilour, Mian Muhammad Adrees, Zubair Tufail, Khalid Tawab, Riaz Ud Din Sh, Senator Haseeb, Tanvir Sh and Sohail Altaf. Names of other candidates for the seats of 10 Vice Presidents will be made public next month after the completion of local chambers election across the country.

Patron-in-Chief SM Munir said the UBG has nominated capable candidates, who are well known in business community of the country for their active participation for addressing business community's problems. He said that he himself and UBG chairman Iftikhar Malik and all member of the UBG believed in collective decision and that is the reason why the UBG has become most popular to solve issues of the business community and 90 percent of business community nationwide has reposed unconditional confidence in the UBG.

Iftikhar Ali Malik hoped that UBG would sweep the forthcoming elections of the FPCCI and will serve the cause of business community of the country more effectively. He said that UBG would use the platform of the FPCCI to create a business friendly environment and a bridge between government and chambers so that trade and industry could flourish and the economy could grow swiftly.
