The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has received additional revenue of Rs 1.5 billion from new income tax returns filers during the Tax Year 2018. The FBR official told Business Recorder that the number of return filers has increased to 2.5 million during the Tax Year 2018. The FBR has generated additional revenue of Rs 1.5 billion from these new filers. In the Tax Year 2017, the number of return filers stood at 1,486,756. The FBR has also decided to issue a new app for the salaried class for filing of their income tax returns for the Tax Year 2019 through their mobile phones.
