Right winger Ali Raza's second session goal guided Pakistan Army to a solitary goal victory against Pakistan Railways while Sui Southern Gas Company and PTV play a 1-1 draw in the 28th PFF National Challenge Football Cup being played here at Tehmas Khan Football Stadium on Friday. Former international footballer Aijaz Shakoor was the chief guest on this occasion. Organizing Secretary and international footballer Basit Kamal, Chief Match Commissioner Qazi Asif, Tournmanent Director Rauf Bari, officials, players and large number of spectators were also present.

Before the start of the matches between Pakistan Army and Pakistan Railways and Sui Southern Gas Company and Pakistan Television the players were introduced to him. Aijaz Shakoor represented Pakistan in way back 60s and was the top scorer of the Asian Club Championship by scoring seven goals in the tournament. In his brief chat with the players, Aijaz Shakoor termed the PFF Challenge Cup a key tournament of Pakistan wherein all the top players part of various affiliated departments are taking part.

In the opening match Pakistan Army and Pakistan Railways gave each other a tough fight in the 90minute battle fought on rattling pace. The players of Pakistan Army and Pakistan Railways played well and made some good rallies of attacks but they were failed to score any goal. After the goal-less draw in the first session, Pakistan Army succeeded in getting lead through right winger Ali Raza in the 59th minute. On the other hands Pakistan Railways also got a golden opportunity when Rashid Khan got a free ball in front of the goal-post in the 77th minute but he left-kick attempt wend wide from the goal-post. Thus Pakistan Army won the match by 1-0.

In the second match Sui Southern Gas Company team and PTV played a 1-1 draw. PTV opened the account in the 41st minute when center striker Adnan Khan slammed in a beautiful goal to make the tally 1-0 while SSGC tied the tally in the 58th minute through substitute player Zain Ul Abiden on the field attempt.
