Customs Collectorate of Appraisement Collector, Syed Ihsan Ali Shah has directed the officials concerned to take measures for eradication of money-laundering and to keep friendly relations with business community. He was chairing a meeting review measures regarding Customs in the Federal Budget for Fiscal year 2019-20 at Model Customs Collectorate (MCC) Peshawar, which was attended by Additional Collectors, Deputy Collectors, Assistant Collectors, Superintendents Border Custom Station and Dry-port along with all relevant officials.

The meeting thoroughly discussed the all points regarding the customs, which were identified in the federal budget for financial year 2019-20. It was informed that the measures would be taken to implement all decisions of the federal government in letter and spirit.

The meeting said that changes were being made relating to export in the Customs Act and discussed the relevant directives in this regard. The meeting told that the Section 32-C had been introduced which was attached to money-laundering laws. It said that rules have much significance, meant to curb the practice of black money.

Customs Collectorate of Appraisement Collector Peshawar on the occasion made it clear that all the relevant officials must focus on work under the Section 25. He warned the participants to keep friendly relations with traders and don't harass them.

The senior official also directed that the measures under the Federal Fiscal Budget for year 2019-20 will be implemented from July 2019 for which all relevant officials will make proper preparation in this regard.
