KP government has restored the services of Dr Abdul Samad as Director Archaeology and Museums, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. A summary moved by Secretary Directorate of Sports, Tourism, Archaeology and Youth Affairs, seeking reinstatement of Dr Abdul Samad as Director Archaeology and Museums, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa after his release on bail in a case of misuse of authority in making illegal appointments in different archaeological sites, was approved by KP Chief Minister Mahmood Khan.

KP Chief Minister Mahmood Khan has given approval about reinstatement of Dr Abdul Samad as Director Archaeology and Museums, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa under suspended government Employees' Rule, CSR 194, said in an official notification issued here on Friday. The notification stated that the competent authority is pleased to order the reinstatement of services of Dr Abdul Samad as Director Archaeology and Museums (BSP-18), Directorate of Archaeology and Museums, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa with immediate effect in the best public interest.
