After the reporting of polio case in Lahore, an anti-polio drive has kicked off in 94 union councils of the provincial metropolis from Monday. The drive will continue till May 19.

During the drive, the polio teams will be visiting door to door to administer anti polio drops to the children up to five years of age. Around 2,500 security personnel have also been deployed with anti-polio teams to ensure smooth conduct of the campaign.

Talking to a delegation of lady health supervisors and workers from different districts of the province, provincial Minister for Health Dr Yasmin Rashid stressed on the lady health supervisors and lady health workers to play their due role for the success of the anti-polio drive. She said that no home should be left without administering polio vaccine.
