Dow University of Health and Sciences (DUHS) has installed 117kW Grid Tied Solar System on the roof of academic block. The installed system will produce approximately 173,430 kWh/year which will save about Rs 3,642,030/year in electricity bills. The installed system will offset 104,058kg carbon dioxide per year that means we will plant 219 trees per year.

DUHS is the top medical university of Pakistan that have nearly 3000 employees, including 850 faculty members at present. Such huge vicinity required ample amount of electrical energy. Pakistan is an ideal country to implement these renewable initiatives because of its tremendous potential in renewable and green power.
