Federal Minister for Information Technology and Telecommunication Dr Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui Friday said that communication access to the far-flung areas is very important. The federal minister was talking to Chief Executive Officer Ufone Rashid Khan who called on him here on Friday. The matters related to information and communication technology were discussed during meeting, says a press release issued here.

The federal minister said that as tourism is the focus of the present government, Ufone should ensure its coverage in the tourist sites in the country. He said that the government is committed for promotion of information technology in the country. The federal minister also asked Ufone to increase its revenue.-PR
