Sindh Excise and Taxation (E&T) department is going to kick off its weeklong road checking campaign by January 9, 2019. According to details, the E&T through its road checking campaign will nab tax defaulting, unregistered vehicles and the cars plying on open transfer letters across the Sindh.

The Director General Shabbir Ahmed while giving brief about the campaign at a meeting presided by the minister informed that the department has constituted 11 teams for road checking campaign and these teams would be deployed at Mazar e Quaid, Shahrah e Quaiden, Muslimabad , Gulistan School ,Kharadar, Keamari, Queens Road, Clifton and Bath Island, DHA graveyard, Sunset Boulevard Road, Tooba Masjid, Shaheen Complex, PIDC, Mai Kolachi Bypass, Gulbai, Crown Cinema, Pakola Chowrangi, Jauhar Chowrangi, Pehalwan Goth, PIB Colony, Teen Hatti, Soldier Bazar, Lasbella, SITE, Mangopir Road, Banaras Chowrangi, Hub River Road, Malir Cantonment, Industrial Area, Saudabad Road, Khokarapar, Sohrab Goth, Federal B Industrial Area, Shafiq More, Korangi Industrial Area, Brooks Chowrangi and Singer Chowrangi.

Meanwhile, the minister directed the officers and officials to remain in proper uniform during the road checking campaign and ensure uninterrupted traffic flow. He also advised to the owners of the tax defaulting vehicles to pay their due taxes before the launching of road checking campaign to avoid any action against them during this campaign.
