The Model Customs Collectorate (Appraisement), Lahore has collected customs duty of Rs 4.161 billion during the month of November, 2018 against Rs 3.334 billion of corresponding month of the last year and registered growth of 25%. The overall revenue collected during November is Rs 8.405 billion.

A performance review meeting of Model Customs Collectorate (Appraisement), Lahore was held at Mughalpura Dry port, Lahore. Collector Jamil Nasir Khan chaired the meeting and senior officers of the Collectorate attended. It was noted with satisfaction that due to enhanced monitoring, revenue worth Rs 1.370 billion was collected as a result of administrative measures through ensuring correct valuation and classification, auction, encashment of securities, and audits of manufacturing bonds, export oriented units and DTRE holders. The exercise undertaken for physical verification of stocks and goods lying in the bonds also contributed towards surpassing revenue target for the month of November, 2018. The meeting ended with the resolve to continue efforts for meeting revenue targets in the coming months as well.
