Chief Justice Mian Saqib Nisar, however, directed the FBR Inland Revenue commissioner to submit complete record of the FBR proceedings on the matter and also issued a notice to Aleema Khan for December 06 seeking information about creation of the asset in question and its source and its non-disclosure before the tax authority.
FBR Inland Revenue Commissioner Chaudhry Ishtiaq Khan presented the report regarding the Dubai's property of Aleema in a sealed envelope and told the court that a hearing on a notice served to her was fixed for December 5.
To a court's query on process initiated against the prime minister's sister, the commissioner said the FBR started its proceedings on February 8, 2018 with a notice issued to her. He said the initial notices were not delivered to her due to her non-availability in Pakistan, however, later she responded to the board. He contended that Aleema was bound to disclose her property in Dubai though she later disposed of the same.
The name of the prime minister's sister had surfaced for her property in UAE during hearing of a case about offshore properties owned by Pakistani citizens and money transfer by illegal means to other countries.
