He said Pakistan wants peace in the region and better relations with neighbouring countries. He said Pakistan's dealing with India was in accordance with diplomatic norms but Indian attitude was against the diplomatic ethics. "Pakistan's foreign policy is clear. We want relations based on mutual respect and equality," he said. He said India created this situation in a bid to divert attention from its internal matters. He said self-determination is legitimate right of Kashmiri people and India should respect UN's resolution on Kashmir. He said if India wants to talk on terrorism then Kulbhushan case is also open and Pakistan has concrete evidences of Indian role in Balochistan unrest.
He also spoke of Saudi visit and invitation to UAE and Saudi counterparts for Pakistan visit. He said he had also exchanged views with Indian counterpart Javad Zarif.
Foreign Minister Qureshi told overseas Pakistanis they can play a vital role in economic strengthening process of the country. He said we have the capability, as a nation, to meet the challenges being faced by the country. He said that the government believes in accountability without any discrimination and it will ensure such accountability in the country. Meanwhile, Pakistan's Ambassador to United Nations Dr Maleeha Lodhi said FM Qureshi in his address to the UN General Assembly on Saturday would highlight Pakistan' stance on regional and global issues.
