The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has dismissed from services three tax officials from Large Taxpayer Unit, Islamabad, LTU, Karachi and Regional TTax Office (RTO)-III, Karachi In this regard, the FBR has issued three notifications here on Thursday.

According to one of the notifications, Tila Muhammad, Assistant Director (Audit), Large Taxpayer Unit, Islamabad has been convicted by Accountability Court No. 01, Karachi vide judgment in reference bearing No. 17 of 2016 (The State Vs Abdul Razzak & Others) dated 28.04.2018 and has been awarded rigorous imprisonment (R.I) for ten years alongwith fine of Rs 4,383,230 and in case of default of fine, rigorous imprisonment for one more year.

Competent Authority, after examining the case in light of Sr 160 of the (Efficiency & Discipline) Rules, 1973 has decided to impose major penalty of "Dismissal from Service" under Rule 4(1)(b)(iv) with effect from the date of conviction i.e. 28.04.2018.

In light of the above, major penalty of dismissal from service is imposed upon Tila Muhammad, Assistant Director (Audit), Large Taxpayer Unit, Islamabad, under Rule 4(1)(b)(iv) read with Sr No 160 of the (Efficiency & Discipline) Rules, 1973 with effect from the date of conviction i.e. 28.04.2018.

According to another notification, Nazir Ahmad Channa, Senior Auditor, RTO-III, Karachi, has been convicted by Accountability Court No. 01, Karachi, vide judgment in reference bearing No. 17 of 2016 (The State Vs Abdul Razzak & Others) dated 28.04.2018 and has been awarded rigorous imprisonment (R.I) for ten years alongwith fine of Rs 4,383,230 and in case of default of fine, rigorous imprisonment for one more year.

Muhammad Bashir Bismil, Senior Auditor (BS-16), LTU, Karachi, has been convicted by Accountability Court No. 01, Karachi vide judgment in reference bearing No. 17 of 2016 (The State Vs Abdul Razzak & Others) dated 28.04.2018 and has been awarded rigorous imprisonment for ten years along with fine of Rs 4,383,230 and in case of default of fine, rigorous imprisonment for one more year.

In light of the above, major penalty of dismissal from service is imposed upon Muhammad Bashir Bismil, Senior Auditor (BS-16), LTU, Karachi, under Rule 4(1)(b)(iv) read with Sr No 160 of the (Efficiency & Discipline) Rules, 1973 with effect from the date of conviction i.e. 28.04.2018.
