Benchmark northwest European gasoline refining margins fell on Monday as a higher oil price counteracted refinery outages and low stocks in the region. Germany's 120,000 barrel per day Bayernoil refinery in Vohburg is off line and might remain so for weeks after a fire on Saturday for which the reason is still unknown, a spokeswoman said on Monday.

India is allowing state refiners to import Iranian oil, with Tehran arranging tankers and insurance after firms including top Indian shipper Shipping Corp of India (SCI) halted voyages to Iran due to US sanctions, sources said. Kenya's independent petroleum suppliers began an indefinite strike on Monday, demanding the government reverse a widely unpopular 16 percent value added tax on all petroleum products.
