The Saudi envoy is the first foreign ambassador who met Khan at the latters's Banigala residence after his party emerged as the largest seat winning party in the July 25 elections.
He expressed satisfaction and joy over the successful completion of the election process in the country. He termed the congratulatory speech of Khan quite comprehensive and positive, saying he respects the views expressed by Khan towards Saudi Arabia in his speech.
He also said that the Saudi Crown Prince Muhammed bin Salman would pay a visit to Pakistan once Khan forms his government, adding the visit of the Crown Prince will usher in a new era of cordial relations between the two countries.
"Pakistan and Saudi Arabia always have very cordial relations, and Saudi Arabia will always stand by Pakistan in difficult times, like it stood by its side in the past," he added.
Imran Khan said that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is a time-tested friend of Pakistan. He thanked the Custodian of the two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud for his well wishes. Khan said that his government will take Pak-Saudi relations to new heights. He further said that Saudi Arabia has a special status in the foreign policy of Pakistan.
