Tariq Mahmood Khokhar has been appointed as Additional Attorney General for Pakistan (AGP). According to the notification, in exercise of powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 2 read with section 3 (a) (3A) of the Central Law Officers Ordinance 1970, the President of Pakistan has appointed Tariq Khokhar as AAGP.

Khokhar had already worked on same post for two years (2013-14). He was also heading Human Right Cell, which was formed by former Attorney General for Pakistan Muneer A Malik, for the implementation of apex court's directives regarding the enforced disappearances. The AGP's HR Cell headed by Khokhar successfully produced a number of missing persons before the SC.
