Caretaker Information Minister Syed Ali Zafar has directed to formulate a coordination committee to ensure collaboration on important issues relating to national heritage between the federation and provinces. He expressed these views during a briefing that was given to him during a visit to the National History and Literary Heritage Division here on Wednesday.

The minister said that there is a need of further collaboration between the federation and provinces in matters relating to libraries, museums, important historical places and artifacts. The minister said that Pakistan is a cradle of most ancient civilizations and is blessed with world's best historical places and artifacts which can be used to promote positive and bright image of the country.

He said that there is a need to share Pakistan's national heritage with the world. Ali Zafar appreciated the reconstruction and renovation work on Rohtas Fort of Mughal Era and urged the relevant officials to ensure high quality of work there.
