The National Assembly Standing Committee on Defense Production was briefed about the future plans of making the first Aviation City in Kamra. The meeting was held at Pakistan Aeronautical Complex Board (PAC), Kamra, with MNA Khawaja Sohail Mansoor in the chair on Tuesday. The committee was informed that PAC decided to start Education Research and Development Programme with an aim to develop overall national aviation industry.

The PAC wants to develop private and other public sector organizations to make them able to provide complete solutions for the end users. The committee was further informed that the PAC has increased vocational training efforts and invited more organizations to come and open vocational institutes.

The representative from Pakistan Aeronautical Complex Board briefed the committee about the new commercial products made by the PAC Kamra. The committee was informed that PAC Kamra is working over the core project "AZM" to be completed within time period of 11 years. After having detailed briefing, the committee appreciated the efforts made by the PAC Kamra. MNAs Muhammad Khan Daha, Dr Ramesh Kumar Vankwani, Amra Khan, Asiya Nasir and Bilal Rehman attended the meeting. The meeting was also attended by senior officers of the Pakistan Aeronautical Complex Board.
