All Pakistan Customs Agents Association (APCAA) has requested the chairman FBR to give the mandate to the Directorate General Trade Organization (DGTR) for conducting training course for customs agents at Peshawar, Sialkot, Quetta, Multan and Hyderabad. In a letter sent to the chairman FBR, the APCAA said that DGTR has declined its request of conducting mandatory training course for customs agents at Peshawar and other stations with the rationale of having the mandate for three stations ie Karachi, Islamabad and Lahore under SRO 450.

However, it is observed that the customs agents residing at Peshawar, Sialkot, Quetta, Multan and Hyderabad remain unable to accomplish the said mandatory course, due to travelling issues and others. The APCAA through letter assured the FBR to provide space and bear all travelling and accommodation expenses of the officials, if the training was conducted at aforesaid stations.

The association strongly urged the chairman FBR to notify other stations for this mandatory training course and instruct the DGTR to convene meeting with APCAA to sort out all related issues.
