The total export cargo of 47,854 tonnes comprised of 30,569 tonnes of containerised cargo; 1,523 tonnes of general cargo; 9,762 tonnes of wheat and 6,000 tonnes of oil/liquid cargo. As many as 2,705 containers comprising of 729 containers import and 1,976 containers export were handled during the last 24 hours on Monday.
The breakup of imported containers shows 293 of 20's and 218 of 40's loaded while nil of 20's and nil of 40's empty containers, whereas that of exported containers shows 248 of 20's and 221 of 40's loaded containers while 98 of 20's and 594 of 40's empty containers were handled during the business hours. There were fourteen ships namely Suez Canal, Zante, Al-Salam-II, MT Shalamar, Sunrise, Willet, Selind, Sbi Hermis, Venus Leader, Positive Passion, Cos Prosperity, Tian Lu, Daranee Naree and BBC Orion carrying containers, oil tankers, coal, vehicle and general cargo respectively sailed out to sea during the reported period.
There were fourteen vessels viz. Northern Discovery, Prosper, Zante, YM Orchid, Suez Canal, Al Safa, Celsius Miami, Nurbano, Al-Salam-II, Safesea Neha-II, Venus Leader, Positive Passion, Tian Lu and Daranee Naree carrying containers, oil tankers, steel, vehicle and general cargo respectively currently at the berths.
The total export cargo of 50,065 tonnes includes 000 tonnes of crude oil and 50,065 tonnes of containerised cargo. As many as 4,349 containers comprising of 1,714 containers import and 2,635 containers export were handled during the last 24 hours on Monday.
There were four ships namely MV Mu Mian Song, MT Epic Sardinia, MT Able Sailor and MT Agent Aster carrying general cargo, LPG and palm oil respectively sailed out to sea on Monday morning, while another ship namely CV Cape Mayor carrying containers is expected to sail on the same day afternoon. A total number of eight vessels viz. CV Cape Mayor, CV GSL Tiangin, MV Mu Main Song, MV Spring Cosmos, MV Star Sirius, MT Epic Sardinia, MT Able Sailor and MT Agent Aster were currently occupied berths to load/offload containers, general cargo, canola seeds, coal, LPG and palm oil respectively during the last 24 hours.
As many as twelve ships namely CV Marie Delmas, CV APL Antwerp, CV MSC Rachele, MV Panorama, MT Maria-III, MT Quetta, MT Pitali Lady, MT Contantinos, MT Al-Salam-II, MT Rainbow Island, MT Horizon and MT Chemroute Sun carrying containers, soyabean, LPG, furnace oil, diesel oil and palm oil respectively were at the outer anchorage of Port Qasim during the last 24 hours. There were five vessels viz. CV MSC Rachele, CV MSC Joanna, MV Panorama, MT Golar Maria and MT Chemroute Sun carrying containers, soyabean, LNG and palm oil respectively expected to take berths at Qasim International Containers Terminal, Grain & Fertilizer Terminal, Engro Energy Terminal and Liquid Oil Terminal respectively on Monday.
There were five ships namely CV MSC Joanna, CV Express Black Sea, MV Daranee Naree, MT Cotar Maria and MT British Emerald carrying containers, cement and LNG respectively due to arrive on Monday. There are two ships namely CV MSC Heidi and CV Northern Magnum carrying containers respectively due to arrive on Tuesday.
