The unveiling of the glittering trophy of the third edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) will be held in Dubai on Tuesday (today), it is learnt. The trophy will be unveiled to the public at the Dubai International Stadium. The trophy will be brought to the venue via a helicopter, from where it will be received by the captains of the PSL teams, the sources said.

Defending champions Peshawar Zalmi skipper Darren Sammy will then carry the trophy to the ceremony. The event will be attended by the managements and owners of the PSL franchises, along with top officials from the Pakistan Cricket Board. The opening ceremony for the tournament will be held on February 22, ahead of the first match between Peshawar Zalmi and debutants Multan Sultans.

Moreover, Pakistan Telecommunications Company Limited has announced its official partnership with Islamabad United in the 3rd edition of Pakistan Super League (PSL).

Dr Daniel Ritz said "PTCL is very happy to partner with Islamabad United for the 2nd year in a row. PTCL as a Pakistani company is always in the forefront to sponsor sporting events in the country. As a truly national company, we support Islamabad United and its theme of 'United we Win'. We wish Islamabad United all the best and hope it will win the PSL again like it did in the inaugural season".
