The Supreme Court on Monday issued a show-cause notice to Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Daniyal Aziz in a contempt notice over statements against the judiciary. A three-member bench led by Justice Azmat Saeed Sheikh issued show-cause notice while observing as to why contempt proceedings should not be initiated against Daniyal Aziz for his statements against judiciary.

Justice Azmat Saeed Sheikh said that the Attorney General for Pakistan will prosecute the case as a prosecutor whereas the counsel for Daniyal Aziz was asked to submit his reply by February 23.
