Two bodies, including one of a girl, were found in mysterious circumstances inside a room of a guesthouse here at sector F-10/4 within the limits of Shalimar police station on Wednesday. According to details, the bodies of Dr Rana Ahmad Aftab, a naval official retired, and a girl identified as Zubaida, who was working as a nurse at private hospital at sector F-10 Markaz, were found at a guesthouse located at house number 102, street No 42, sector F-10/4.

Police official said that the guesthouse staff broke into the room when all their calls went unanswered and found bodies on the bed. Police were informed immediately who arrived at the scene.

Sub-Inspector Munir Hussain said the police after getting information reached the guesthouse and shifted the bodies to nearby hospital for postmortem.

According to initial investigation, the death of both the deceased might be occurred due to excessive consumption of liquor or suffocation as gas heater was found on in the room. However, the real cause of the death would be ascertained after postmortem report, he said.
