Shad Mohammad Khan, Director General, Intelligence & Investigation-Inland Revenue (I&I-IR) Islamabad has said that Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) is trying its level-best to bring more people under the tax-net. He was addressing at the second destruction ceremony of confiscated cigarettes and beverage at Industrial state Risalpur on Tuesday. He said the FBR has created friendly atmosphere at the offices so that the people without any hesitation visit the office for paying their taxes.

The official said the sector-wise work has been started to collect taxes from the masses through better way. He informed that a plan was proposed to collect taxes from the developers, distribution companies, textile and other sector. He said that masses have been motivated through various means to pay taxes. The official further said that the I&I Mardan office was established in February 2017 at Sheikh Maltoon Town for carrying out field operations in the Mardan, Swabi, Nowshera and Charsadda districts.
