Chief Minister Punjab Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif criticising Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leaders has said due to their incompetence, they could not lay a single brick of metro bus project in their province during past four years and wasted time of KPK people.

He was talking to people during his two-hour early morning inspection of construction on the Lahore Metro Train project here on Sunday. He said PTI created hurdles and delayed construction for 22 months otherwise the OLMT Lahore was supposed to operate on December 25 and facilitate o.3 million people daily who would be travelling from Dera Gujran to Alipur. He said now he is personally monitoring the progress of the project to compensate for the delay and swift completion of OLMT with hard-work, dedication and passion. OLMT project Lahore is a great gift of China for the people of Pakistan.

During his visit, the CM reviewed the progress of civil, mechanical and electrical works and visited various stations. He also went to the underground area and reviewed the construction work at Supreme Court Registry, GPO, Shalimar Bagh and Lakshmi Chowk. The CM was given a detailed briefing on the progress of project as well as headway of construction work. The CM directed to arrange best refurbishment traffic routes during the closure of GPO Chowk in order to make people's sufferings minimal.
