The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has arrested two accused for depriving public of their hard earned money and causing loss of millions to national exchequer. The NAB Lahore produced accused Muhammad Abbas and Anwar-ul-Haq before an accountability court and sought their physical remand till January 22.

In a case of cheating public at large, the NAB arrested Muhammad Abbas from Wazirabad for cheating general masses over the pretext of doubling their investment within 15 to 30 days. During investigation, it was disclosed that the accused in connivance with his wife, Najma Bibi, managed to lure public and looted Rs 6.539 million. In another case, the NAB arrested Anwar-ul-Haq from Lahore over allegations of fabricating fake plot files of Mustafa Town and evading taxes.
