Chairman Technical Education and Vocational Training Authority (TEVTA) Irfan Qaiser Sheikh said that TEVTA in collaboration with world's leading support company TRG will provide Call Centre Customer Support training to 2000 youth across the Punjab.

He expressed these views during his meeting with Chief Executive Officer TRG Nadeem Elahi on Thursday at TEVTA Secretariat. Irfan Qaiser Sheikh said that TEVTA started its pilot project of training of call centres along with TRG one year ago. Around 2000 youngsters will be trained. He said those who are working with TRG's subsidiary Ibex are earning Rs 30 thousand per month. After completing this training course youngsters will be able to earn up to Rs 50 thousand per month, he said.

He also said that call centre customer support is relatively new field in Pakistan but several countries in the world including our neighbours had massive call centre industry which is providing customer support services for companies in US, Europe and other countries.

He said that only those nations could achieve progress who train their youth with latest technologies. He also said that there are thousands of youth already associated with this field because it not only provide good employability but it also provide youngsters time and space so they can continue their education along with this job.

Irfan Qaiser went on saying that reason behind starting of this course was the vision of Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif to train youth in such courses which can provide them easy, accessible and immediate jobs.

CEO TRG Nadeem Elahi announced that among 2000 youngsters, TRG will immediately hire 1200 youth at Rs 30 thousand per month. He said that Chairman TEVTA is working hard for providing youngsters of Punjab as per latest technological methods. Collaboration with TEVTA will be beneficial for Pakistan and its youth, he added.
