Enraged by this, Akram shot dead Brekhna's father and committed suicide afterwards. Police said Fazle Akbar Afridi went to the house of 65-year-old Hazrat Umar in Guldara Chowk in the limits of Yakkatoot Police Station in the morning and sought his permission to marry his daughter Brekhna, who is a local dancer.
Fazle Akbar got furious on rejection of his marriage proposal and killed Hazrat Umar with a sharp edged weapon. Brekhna also sustained injuries while trying to save her father. After the whole episode, Ali Akbar also committed suicide by turrning his gun towards himself Brekhna has been shifted to hospital for treatment. Police have handed over the bodies to heirs after post-mortem and initiated further investigation.
