Leghari inquired about the status of power generation in January 2018 till December 2018 of all the chief executives. He also committed to bridging the gap between demand and supply and asked all the chief executives to present projected demand without any delay and share how much power and resources are required.
To be presided over by Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, the cabinet will also accord approval for appointment of new Inspector General Police (IGP) for Sindh as the previous cabinet meeting Prime Minister had rejected the summary. The Sindh government has nominated Sardar Abdul Majeed Dasti, an officer of the Police Service of Pakistan (PSP), for the post of Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Sindh, replacing incumbent Allah Dino Khwaja PSP (BS-21).
The cabinet will approve amendment in Capital Development Authority Ordinance, 1960 probably paving the way to reappoint capital's Mayor, Sheikh Ansar Aziz as Chairman Capital Development Authority (CDA). The Cabinet will also accord approval to appointment of Chairman Federal Land Commission. Extension in deputation tenure of PAF officer in Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) is also on the agenda of the cabinet.
The cabinet will consider transfer of Pakistan Central Cotton Committee and cotton related matters from Textile Industry to Ministry of National Food Security and Research. The cabinet will accord approval to ratification of protocol between Turkey and Pakistan regarding exchange of armed forces personnel.
Approval for signing of draft MoU between the department of archeology and museums national history and literary heritage division and museum Rietberg, Zurich Switzerland, ratification of ECC decisions of December 22, 2017 and annual report of the National Economic Council (NEC) are also on the agenda.
