Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi on Monday said the government was making adequate efforts to resolve the problems being faced by business community on top priority basis. Addressing the members of Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI), he said that business community is playing vital role in strengthening national economy. The PM further stated that business community is backbone of the national economy of the country and we are trying to resolve their problems at earliest possible.

He further said political stability is vital for economic growth and development process of the country. "We have successfully maintained law and order in the country," he added. On the pressing demands of business community, the PM assured that duties on cotton yarn import would be considered to facilitate the businessmen. The PM also announced the establishment of "Export Development Committee" in the country for stabilizing the exports of the country.

The PM further stated that in order to provide most modern health facilities to the people of Sialkot huge amount would be spent on up-gradation of Allama Iqbal Hospital while cancer diagnostic centre would also set in Sialkot. Federal Interior Minister Professor Ahsan Iqbal announced the establishment of executive office of NADRA and Passport at S Raiz Uddin Sheikh Business and Commerce Centre shortly.

Foreign Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif also spoke on the occasion. In his welcome address President Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) Zahid Latif Malik highlighted different issues related to business community.
