Pakistan People's Party (PPP) chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has said on Sunday that it seems as if ousted premier Nawaz Sharif does not wish for the ruling Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) to complete its five-year tenure in the government. In a message posted on Twitter, PPP chief criticised the federal government for alleged apathy towards political crisis in Balochistan after five ministers in Balochistan Assembly resigned last week.

Bilawal wrote, "Does the federal government even care about what's happening in Balochistan?" PPP chairman criticised PML-N rhetorically asking if a single minister was tasked to look into the situation and visit Balochistan to resolve the issue. "Has a single federal minister even gone there? It's seems Nawaz doesn't want govt to complete its term," Bilawal wrote.

Statement of PPP chief over Balochistan crisis has come in days after five ministers belonging to opposition and the government tendered their resignations owing to differences with the chief minister for not shouldering his responsibilities. Balochistan CM Sanaullah Zehri telephoned PML-N chief Nawaz Sharif earlier Sunday and sought his help to resolve the crisis. Nawaz has branded the resignations as conspiracy to halt Senate elections. On the other hand, another minister, Sheikh Jaffar Mandokhail from Pakistan Muslim League Quaid-e-Azam resigned on Sunday.
