The Regional Board Meeting (RBM) of National Accountability Bureau Khyber Pakhtunkhwa was held under the chairmanship of Brigadier Farooq Naser Awan (retd), Director General NAB (KP) at Peshawar. The meeting was attended by Directors, Additional Directors, Case Officers, senior legal consultants and other concerned officers. Several important decisions were taken in the meeting.

The board recommended filing of reference in Accountability Courts against Tariq Hayat Khan, ex-DG Galliyat Development Authority (GDA) and others for corruption and misuse of authority. As per evidence available, the accused persons have illegally allotted precious plots at Galliyat in violation of laws and rules causing huge loss to national exchequer.

The board authorized an inquiry against officers and officials of Revenue Department, Forest Department Agriculture Department Upper Dir. The accused people have embezzled Rs 120 million by criminally increasing the estimation of compensation of 250 kanals land acquired. Further, they have also falsely shown expensive trees on the premises.
