The Sargodha-based leader, Sialvi, has been demanding the resignation of the provincial law minister over his controversial remarks about religious minority Ahmedi community with regard to Khatm-e-Nabuwwat. He said the protestors would stay at Data Darbar till Rana Sanaullah resigns.
"Everybody should resolve to stay put and support the movement till its decisive end," he said. He has also urged his supporters not to vote for the Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) in the next general elections. "Promise me that you won't vote for the PML-N under any circumstances," he said.
It is apropos to mention that earlier Pir Sialvi had called for the resignation of Rana Sanaullah by December 31. Sialvi had also warned Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif to take resignation from Rana Sanaullah or show him the door. Earlier on December 10, the Pakistan Muslim League (PML-N) had suffered a major blow after five lawmakers, three MPAs and two MNAs, submitted their resignations to Pir Sialvi.
