A joint meeting of the provincial leadership of component of the religio-political alliance Muttahida Majlis-e-Amal (MMA) has strongly condemned the statements of the US President Donald Trump and, while terming interference in the internal affairs of Pakistan and open threats, has demanded reforming of the national foreign policy and framing all policies in the interest of the country and nation.

The meeting of the Steering Committee of the MMA held here in Markaz-e-Islami, the provincial headquarters of Jamaat-e-Islami here Friday. The meeting reviewed national political situation in wake of US threats while different proposals regarding FATA also came under discussion in the meeting.

Those who attended were included Akram Khan Durrani, Liaquat Baloch, Maulana Mohammad Amjad Khan, Pir Mahfooz Mashadi, Allama Tauqir Ramzan, Maulana Fazalur Rehman Madni, Sardar Khan Leghari, Mushtaq Ahmad Khan, Maulana Shuja-ul-Mulk, Allama Abdul Wasi, Mufti Abdul Shakoor, Dr Zakir, Mufti Kifayatullah, Sahibzada Haroon Rashid, Mufti Ejaz, Sahibzada Fatehullah, Maulana Rahat Hussain, Pir Merajuddin, Syed Murtaza Jaffery and others.

The leadership of the MMA also expressed resolve for battling conspiracies against the nation and country with bravery and further acceleration of peaceful struggle for the enforcement of Islamic system and in coming elections challenging secular lobby at each front.

Addressing the meeting, Federal Minister for Housing & Works, Haji Akram Khan Durrani and Liaquat Baloch termed the resolution of the problems of FATA and abolition of the former cruel system a need of the hour.

The meeting also discussed proposals regarding FATA and decided the provincial leadership of the component political parties of the alliance will hold crucial consultations and will prepare a draft of recommendations after discussing proposals in this regard in next meeting.
