Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) acting Central ameer, Liaqat Baloch has condemned the US president Donald Trump's recent statement against Pakistan. He announced the JI will hold protest demonstrations across the country today, against new US policy and strategy regarding this region. To take unified stance against the US president anti-Pakistan, JI ameer called for summoning on joint session of Parliament. He was addressing a news conference at Al-Markaz-e-Islami here on Thursday.

He said that Pakistan has almost lost 100billion dollars, while rendered more than 70,000 their lives in the ongoing against terrorism. He called for self-reliance, confidence over own resources and eradication of corruption from the country. He said the stability of democratic institutions vital for resolution of the all issues.

Liaqat Baloch said the ousted Prime Minister, Nawaz Sharif, continued with policy of the former dictator, General Musharraf (r). He said US has faced with failure at all forums due to its wrong policies. He said the US has always used aggression policy after confronting with defeat.

Flanked by JI provincial ameer, Mushtaq Ahmad Khan, general secretary Abdul Wasey, Fata ameer, Sardar Khan, naib ameer, Zarnoor Afridi, and provincial secretary information, Syed Jamaat Ali Shah, JI ameer said the failure and downfall is destine of US, adding that America has faced humiliating defeat on Iraq, Syria and Kurd issue, and strong opposition about shifting of its embassy to Al-Quds in UN General Assembly.

While terming the convening of meeting of National Security Council and federal cabinet meeting, as insufficient after Donald Trump's statement against Pakistan, he called for summoning on joint session of Parliament. He said the parliament should play role for uniting the nation. He said Prime Minister should also demonstrate courage to unite the national leadership.

JI ameer strongly opposed the proposal to hold early elections, which was undemocratic demand. He said the elections should be held as per scheduled in the country, and opposed the any delay in this regard. He said conflict between state and politics will not be fruitful for integrity of the country.

Liaqat while commenting on Fata reforms said that the federal government was not sincere to implement the reforms agenda to mainstream the tribal region. He said the Fata people had deprived from all constitutional rights since of inception of the country. He said the education, and health facilities were not available to people of tribal region, which was sheer unjust with them.

JI leader stressed the need for merger of Fata with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to open new chapter of development and progress in the region. He said the majority of tribal people are in favour of the integration with KP. He said the FCR is black law, which should be abolished to ensure all constitutional right to people of Fata.

Liaqat said that some political leaders took stance about Fata-KP integration and demand for making consultation with tribal people on the issue. He said that it was not strong justification to take opinion of tribal people on Fata status.

He viewed the demand to hold referendum or declaring Fata as separate province was aimed to the put the Fata issue on backburner and delayed merger of the tribal region with the province. He said they had tried to unite all religious parties under a single platform.
