Chairman Qaumi Watan Party Aftab Ahmad Khan Sherpao has out-rightly rejected the US President Donald Trump's allegations in a tweet against Pakistan and added that Pakistan had rendered great sacrifices in combating terrorism. In a statement on Wednesday, he termed the US president trump's onslaught as irresponsible and baseless. He said that instead of blaming Pakistan for its failure the US leadership should realize that Pakistan has rendered great sacrifices in the war against terrorism. He expressed disappointment over the trump's stinging statement and said that it would have adverse affect on the continued efforts for peace in the region.

"America is blaming Pakistan for its failure only to avoid embarrassment of its people," he stated. Sherpao said that the failure of America in Afghanistan was inevitable because of its bad policies. He said that decade long issue of terrorism could only be addressed through mutual cooperation and cognitive measures to evolve proactive stability to weed out the menace of extremism from the societies. He said without Pakistan's support the growing trend of extremism could not be restrained. He said for the cause of peace, stability and progress in the region Pakistan had given outstanding sacrifices. He added that the nation and forces of Pakistan had rendered matchless human and material sacrifices, which could not be ignored. He said that the region was facing serious security problems and the thaw in the Pak-US relations would undermine all efforts for normality. He added that Donald Trump's statement would disturb the measures for peace in the region.
