The paramilitary Rangers (Sindh) claimed to have killed three terrorists associated with the banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) here in Baldia Town neighborhood of the metropolis. A spokesman of Rangers in a statement said that a raid was conducted Tuesday night on a tipoff about the presence of terrorists at a house located in Qaim Khani locality in Baldia Town. As the Rangers personnel reached and cordoned off the area, the terrorists resorted to firing which ensued into an encounter that led to killing of three militants while their accomplices managed to flee the scene, taking advantage of darkness in the area.

Two Rangers personnel and a counter terrorism department (CTD) official sustained injuries on the occasion.
