Chairman National Accountability Bureau (NAB) former Justice Javed Iqbal Wednesday directed NAB Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to conduct scrutiny of allegations of awarding a contract worth Rs 3 billion by MNA Captain Muhammad Safdar (retd) to his blue-eyed contractor. An official said the NAB chairman had taken notice of awarding a contract worth Rs 3 billion by Muhammad Safdar to his blue-eyed contractor in violation of rules and regulations. Safdar also allegedly embezzled Rs 2 billion out of Rs 3 billion contracts through fake schemes, he added.

The NAB chairman asked Director General NAB Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to conduct a complete scrutiny of the application submitted before the Bureau regarding the allegation against Safdar in order to ensure that looted money is deposit it in the national exchequer.
