Peshawar Traffic Police has decided to take back arms from the newly appointed personnel, while senior personnel will retain their arms. Traffic Police officials said this step has been taken after a labourer got injured in firing by a traffic constable at Ashraf Road few days ago. It has emerged that the constable has joined the force recently. A quarrel occurred among traffic police personnel and traders over parking issue at Ashraf Road after which a constable opened fire, leaving one labourer injured.
