The total export cargo of 47,714 tonnes comprised of 37,737 tonnes of containerised cargo; 6,397 tonnes of stone and 3,580 tonnes of oil/liquid cargo. As many as 6,553 containers comprising of 1,949 containers import and 4,604 containers export were handled during the last 24 hours on Thursday.
The breakup of imported containers shows 785 of 20's and 508 of 40's loaded while nil of 20's and 74 of 40's empty containers, whereas that of exported containers shows 886 of 20's and 560 of 40's loaded containers while 942 of 20's and 828 of 40's empty containers were handled during the business hours.
There were five ships namely Houston Express, Hyundai Splendor, Kota Kaya, Besiktas Zealand and Pacific Voyager carrying containers, oil tanker and rice respectively sailed out to sea during the reported period. There were three vessels viz. KMTC Dubai, Ever Diamond and Besiktas Zealand carrying containers and oil tanker respectively currently at the berths.
There were two ships namely Northern Dependant and OOCL Shanghai carrying containers respectively sailed out to sea on Thursday, while two ships namely Ever Diamond and N Mars carrying containers and mogas respectively are expected to sail on Friday. There were two vessels viz. ansa Neuburg and Tokyo Bulker carrying containers and coal respectively due to arrive on Thursday, while six vessels viz. Fowairet, Ever Unique, Polo, MT Shalamar, CT Frontier and Triton Valk carrying containers, oil tanker, chemical and coal respectively are due to arrive on Friday.
The total import cargo of 97,056 tonnes includes 44,400 tonnes of LNG; 1,105 tonnes of diesel oil, 3,000 tonnes of palm oil; 4,700 tonnes of coal; 7,071 tonnes of canola seeds; 13,010 tonnes of chemical and 24,187 tonnes of containerised cargo.
The total export cargo of 35,910 tonnes includes; 4,180 tonnes of rice and 31,730 tonnes of containerised cargo. As many as 2,420 containers comprising of 1,350 containers import and 1,070 containers export were handled during the last 24 hours on Thursday.
There was one ship namely MT Khor Gas carrying LPG sailed out to sea on Thursday morning, while three more ships namely CV Maersk Denver, CV MSC Heidi and MT Ejnan carrying containers and LNG respectively are expected to sail on the same day afternoon.
A total number of eleven vessels viz. CV Maersk Denver, CV MSC Heidi, MV Pan Oceanis, MV Yasa Pembe, MV Eptalots, MV YM Miranda, MT Maria-III, MT Khor Gas, MT Ejnan, MT Quetta and MT Corona were currently occupied berths to load/offload containers, rice, coal, canola seeds, chemical, LPG, LNG, furnace oil and palm oil respectively during the last 24 hours.
As many as eight ships namely MV Kirri Billi, MV Era-S, MT White Pearl, MT Gas Amazon, MT Tiamat Gas, MT Kano, MT Lime Galaxy and MT Elm Galaxy carrying canola seeds, rice, LPG, LNG and palm oil respectively were at the outer anchorage of Port Qasim during the last 24 hours.
There were two vessels viz. CV Priority and MT Tiamat Gas carrying containers and LPG respectively expected to take berths at Qasim International Containers Terminal and SSGC LPG Terminal respectively on Thursday. There were five ships namely CV Priority, CV Melina, CV Virgo, MT Bahra and MT Ondo carrying containers, diesel oil and LNG respectively due to arrive on Thursday.
There are three ships namely CV Teno, CV Prosper, CV Hansa America CV Priority carrying containers due to arrive on Friday.
