Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan Thursday reiterated that Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) and Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) rigged 2013 general elections in their respective areas.

In a tweet, he said that the three political parties had selected their own 'umpires' which he defined "Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP)" before contesting elections 2013, adding this was the reason all these parties got together when the PTI staged a sit-in for a thorough probe into election rigging.

"In 2013 general elections the MQM, PPP and PML-N had first selected their own umpires (ECP...then with their collusion the three parties rigged 2013 elections in their respective areas. No wonder afterwards they all got together to prevent the PTI from holding an investigation.

Hence, the dharna (was staged) by the PTI," he tweeted. He further said that the vote bank of the PML-N stood high in the elections just due to the rigging, adding: "Now it must be clear to all how the PML-N vote bank went from 6.8 million in 2008 to 15 million in 2013."

He justified his 2014 126-day sit-in and said, "We were right in doing the dharna to get an investigation so the next elections would be free and fair. Later in the evening, the PTI chairman also got a briefing from PTI leader Babar Awan who is looking after the legal matters of the party as what can be done regarding the Hudaibiya Papers Mills case.

A statement issued here by central secretariat of the party stated that the party has received important documents regarding Hudaibiya Papers Mills. The PTI chairman will share the details pertaining to the high-profile case involving Sharif brothers and their close aides with the media on January 04.

Imran Khan said that Shahbaz Sharif is not going to get any NRO this time around as he (Khan) has decided to bring the whole Sharif family to book, adding the Sharif family is out from politics and their destination is now Adyala Jail. He also warned Nawaz Sharif that any blunder to launch anti-judiciary campaign will not succeed as he will take people to the streets, which is enough to shut the Sharifs up, as they have just heard of movement but have not launched one yet.
