Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah has said that his government has allocated ample funds for the development of all the districts through district and provincial ADPs. "What is required from the elected representatives is ownership of the schemes by monitoring the progress and quality," said Murad Ali Shah while presiding over four different meetings to review district and provincial ADPs of different districts here at the CM House today.

The meeting was attended by provincial ministers, Mir Hazar Khan Bijarani, Dr Sikandar Mandhro, Jam Mehtab Dahar, Jam Khan Shoro, Imdad Pitafi, Fayaz Butt, Chairman P&D M. Waseem, Principal Secretary to CM Sohail Rajput, provincial secretaries, Fazal Pechuho, Hassan Naqvi, Jamal Shah, Aziz Uqaili, Aijaz Memon, Ramzan Awan and others.

JACOBABAD: The chief minister said that Jacobabad has Rs 5 billion throw-forward in its district ADP, therefore it is quite difficult for the government to complete them during the next financial year. "I am going to allocate Rs 1 billion for district ADP to complete some important schemes," he said.

He directed Works dept to complete Garhi Khero - Usta Mohammad road up to Balochistan border on priority basis. Local government Minister Jam Khan Shoro said that Rs 155 million extra funds are allocated for Jacobabad Municipal Committee therefore they must be used transparently for face uplift of the city, cleanliness and improvement of drainage system.

The provincial ADP of the district is Rs 2818.730 million to execute 87 schemes of 13 different departments. The government has allocated Rs 2295.375 million for them while the expenditures are Rs 1747.781 million. The chief minister told the representatives of the district Jacobabad that he has identified 16 schemes which would be completed by June 2017 because he has released their full funding. The meeting was attended by MNAs from Jacobabad Mir Aijaz Khan Jakhrani, Mir Shabir Bijarani, MPAs Mumtaz Jakhrani, Dr Sohrab Sarki, Aurangzeb Panhwar and others.

KANDHKOT-KASHMORE: The Chief Minister said that the Kandhkot-Kashmore district is located on the borders of Balochistan and Punjab, therefore both the cities must be developed and kept neat and clean and there should be no encroachments.

Former MNA Gul Mohammad Jakhrani said that there was a dire need of Girls College in Kashmore town. On this Chairman P&D M. Waseem said that the building of the college was almost ready and final touch ups were required before handing over its possession. The chief minister expressed his displeasure and directed minister education Jam Mehtab to start classes for girls in girls' high school in the evening shift until the building is formally handed over.

MNAs from Kashmore -Kandhkot mentioned another important scheme of Cadet College Karampur. It was told that the 60per cent work on the building has been completed. Provincial Minister Mir Hazar Khan Bijarani said that Cadet College falls under his constituency and he was taking personal interest and monitoring the work which is expected to be completed by December 2017.

Local Government Minister Jam Khan Shoro said that he was working to rationalize staff of local bodies of Tangwani, Karamur and others in the district. Through the provincial ADP 12 different departments have launched 65 schemes of Rs 3099.169 million against which Rs 2492.650 million were allocated while the expenditures are Rs 1657.227 million.

The chief minister said that he has identified 13 schemes which would be completed by June 2017 because their full funds have been released. The elected representatives of the district including MNAs Ahsan Mazari, Shabir Khan Bijarani, MPAs Mukesh Chawla, Rauf Khoso, Abid Khan, District Council Chairman Mahboob Bijarani, PPP President Gul Mohammad Jakhrani and others participated.

SHIKARPUR: Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah said that once the Shikarpur city was compared with Paris and now it faces challenging issues and the foremost problem is its drainage system and it should be resolved at any cost.

The chief minister said that the drainage scheme in Shikarpur has been going on from 2005 but it has not been completed so far. He said that merely the construction of drainage system in the city was not enough but it must be properly designed and built with required width and at natural gravity. He directed Local Government Minister Jam Khan Shoro to personally monitor the drainage work. MPA Imtiaz Shaikh pointed out that Cattle Colony, shifting of Bus Stand and Upgradation of Shah Abdul Latif University Shikarpur may be expedited. Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah said that Cattle Colony would be established over an area of 124 acres. The landfill Site as identified by local government would be set up at Lodra and "I am issuing necessary instructions to shift bus terminals at Sukkur-Shikarpur road," he said.

MNA Aftab Mirani and Imtiaz Shaikh requested the chief minister that the inter road schemes launched for Rs 149.799 million should be completed in time stipulated. On this the chief minister assured the elected representatives that the internal roads of the city would be completed by end of December. Abdi Bhayo said that the drainage system of Khanpur was in a dilapidated state. He directed the Local government Department to take necessary action and improve drainage system of Khanpur city.

In the meeting uplift of Garhi Yasin, Lakhi, Lodra and Kot Sultan was also discussed. It may be noted that in Shikarpur District 10 departments have launched 50 ADP schemes for Rs 2069.550 million against which Rs 1149.388 million have been released while the utilization is Rs 485.236 million.The meeting was attended by MNA Aftab Shaban Mirani, MPAs Imtiaz Shaikh, Abdi Bhayo, Wahid Bux Bhayo, Chairman District Council Agha Masihuddin and others.

DADU: Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah has said that Dadu is most important city located on the Indus Highway therefore it must be connected through road networks with small villages and towns to facilitate people of the area.

MNA Rafiq Jamali told the meeting that the remodeling of Dadu Canal and Johi Branch was slow and improper. On this the chief minister said that it was Rs 800 million scheme and directed Secretary Irrigation Jamal Shah to personally monitor the work and ensure the quality of work as per standards.

The scheme of Works department which came under discussion included Rs 234.845 million 18.4 km Johi road, Rs 80.501 about 10 km road from Punj Mori to village Jhalo, improvement of 15 km road of Rs 129.467 million from Piaro Station to Sita Road and various other schemes for which the chief minister directed works Minister Imdad Pitafi to personally look after them and get them completed in time.

The chief Minister directed P&D department to revise Rs 589.7 million Improvement and Extension of drainage scheme in Dadu, so that it could be completed by end of December 2017.

He directed PHE, education, health and works department to complete their schemes in the district on priority basis. It may be noted that 12 different department have launched 122 schemes in Dadu district for Rs 7977.556 million against which Rs 3107.008 million have been released while Rs 1899.660 million have been utilized. He told the elected representatives of Dadu district that he has identified 20 on-going schemes to be completed by end of June because their total funds have been released. He urged them to personally monitor on-going works so that their quality and pace could be ascertained.
