Sindh Minister for Excise, Taxation and Narcotics Control Mukesh Kumar Chawla has directed relevant officers to accelerate property and professional tax survey in Sukkur and in this regard, all legal and technical issues should be removed at earliest. Presiding over a meeting, he said, proper procedure should be adopted to mark the property units by fixing metal number plates on the right side of the main gate of all the property units as per policy.

Chawla further directed them to carry out the survey strictly in accordance with the Sindh Urban Immovable Property Tax Act 1958 and its rules. He warned that departmental action would be taken against those officers who show lethargic attitude in performing their duties.

The Minister also took notice of the news regarding open sell of narcotics in Jamali Goth, Gulshan-e-Iqbal and directed the concerned officers to ascertain facts and take necessary action to eradicate narcotics sell in that area. Secretary Excise, Taxation & Narcotics Control Abdul Haleem Shaikh, Director General Shoaib Ahmed Siddiqui and other officers also attended the meeting.
