Federal government on Tuesday increased the prices of petroleum prices for month of November. According to notification, price of motor spirit (petrol) has been increased by Rs 2.49 per litre and high speed diesel (HSD) by Rs 5.19 per litre in monthly review for November.

A day earlier (Monday), Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) also recommended increasing the prices of motor spirit (petrol) by Rs 2.49 per litre and HSD by Rs 5.19 per litre. Following the recommendations of OGRA, per litre prices of petrol and high speed diesel have increased by 3.4 percent and 6.5 percent, respectively. The government will collect GST on high speed diesel by 31 percent and petrol by 17 percent for the month of November.

The OGRA proposed an increase of Rs 15.99 per litre in price of kerosene oil and Rs 12.63 per litre increase in LDO price. However, the price of kerosene oil was soared by Rs 5.00 per litre and light diesel oil (LDO) by Rs 3.00 per litre.

New petroleum prices will remain applicable from Tuesday (today). Petrol price has gone up to Rs 75.99 per litre from the current Rs 73.50 and HSD to Rs 84.59 from current Rs 79.40 per litre.

The prices of kerosene oil after an increase of Rs 5.19 has gone up to Rs 53.19 per litre from the existing Rs 48 per litre and the price of LDO hiked with an increase of Rs 3.00 per litre to Rs 49.00 from existing Rs 46.00 per litre.
