The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has extended date for filing of income tax returns and statements (tax year 2017) till November 15, 2017. According to an income tax circular number 8 of 2017 issued by the FBR here on Tuesday, in exercise of the powers conferred under Section 214A of the Income Tax Ordinance, 2001 the FBR has extended the date of filling of Returns/Statements for the Tax Year 2017 as under:

Firstly, the date of filing of Returns of Total Income / Statement of final Taxation which was due on 31st August, 2017 and extended upto 31st October, 2017 is hereby further extended up to 15th November, 2017.

Secondly, the date of filing of Income Tax Returns/Statements of final taxation which was due on 30th September 2017 and extended upto 31st October, 2017 for Individuals and Associations of Persons is hereby further extended up to 15th November, 2017.

Thirdly, the date of filing of Returns of Total Income/ Statements of Final taxation of companies which was due on 30th September 2017 and extended upto 31st October, 2017 is hereby further extended up to 15th November, 2017.
