National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) on Thursday said that 81 people have died and 125 injured due to the devastation brought by the monsoon rains in Fata, Azad Kashmir and all four provinces.

Most of the devastation was recorded in Punjab, Balochistan, Fata and Kashmir. According to NDMA report, 46 people died in the first spell of monsoon from June 26 and July 7. Out of them, 11 people died in Punjab, 5 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), 6 in Sindh, 15 in Balochistan, 9 in Kashmir and Fata while overall 63 people died and 61 houses destroyed. During the second spell starting from July 10, 35 people have died so far. In this spell, 60 people have been injured while two dozens of houses were partly or completely destroyed.
