Secretary Economic Affairs Division (EAD) Tariq Mahmood Pasha has been appointed as new chairman of Federal Board of Revenue (FBR). A notification issued in this regard on Monday stated that Tariq Mahmood Pasha, a grade-22 officer of Inland Revenue Service (IRS) who is presently posted as secretary EAD, is transferred and posted as chairman FBR/secretary Revenue Division with immediate effect and until further orders. The post of the chairman FBR fell vacant after the retirement of Dr Muhammad Irshad.
