The Sindh Rangers on Monday claimed to have arrested seven accused in separate raids at different parts of the metropolis. A paramilitary spokesman in a statement said two Lyari gang war accused identified as Abdul Hameed aka Sohail and Chakar were arrested from Malir City. The under arrest accused were involved in various crime incidents including dacoity, drug peddling, the police claimed.

In another case, the paramilitary troops nabbed an accused identified as Muhammad Nawab allegedly associated with the banned Muttahida Qaumi Movement London (MQM-L). He is involved in supply of arms and various other crime activities, the statement said. Irfan akaYaqoob, and Asif Shah were arrested from Shahrae Faisal and Orangi Town respectively. They were involved in extortion cases.

Meanwhile two more dacoits were arrested by Rangers from Malir City. Their identifications have been ascertained as Muzammil Ahmad and Nabeel Ahmad. Illegal arms, ammunition, stolen things, and drugs were also recovered from the possessions of under arrest criminals during the course of raids. The accused were later handed over to police for further legal actions.
